Join us on Monday, January 19, 2009 (Martin Luther King Day). Come on out, It’s a great day in the snow. You bring your favorite club. We’ve got the the balls.

This event is a four-person scramble from the Stowe Country Club driving range back to the Sunset Grille.

Entry for the team is $120. $30 per person, and singles and pairs are welcomed. The more the merrier.

We also encourage costumes in collaboration with the theme of the 2009 Stowe Winter Carnival Those in costume earn strokes off their score, prizes, swag, and if you are creative enough, maybe even a HUGE trophy and some CASH. OK, the trophy is small and plastic, but the cash is real. This year’s theme is “Camp Stowe”. Accordingly, bribing the committee with girl scout cookies is permitted.

Snow angels at least once during the day is a tradition. Just listen for the “calling” from the Snow Angel God.

And always remember rule #1: We’re here to have fun.

While competition and prizes are a big part of the day, camaraderie is the biggest element. Many long-time friendships are formed over a day spent wandering a snowy field sharing a drink or three and laughing over spectacularly bad, and great, shots.

It’s a great day, so relax and enjoy it, and just have fun being silly and making a fool of yourself like everyone else.

And don’t plan on doing too much afterwards….

We will be registering at the Sunset Grille, just off the Mountain Road in Stowe (140 Cottage Club Road) at 11:00 am.
