Join us on Monday, January 18, 2010 (Martin Luther King Day). Come on out, It’s a great day in the snow. You bring your favorite club. We’ve got the the balls.
This event is a four-person scramble on the Stowe Country Club practice area.
Entry for the team is $120. $30 per person, and singles and pairs are welcomed. The more the merrier. Walk-ins and Virgins welcome.
Entry fees go towards prizes and expenses of building the course.
We also encourage costumes in collaboration with the theme of the 2010 Stowe Winter Carnival Those in costume earn strokes off their score, prizes, swag, and if you are creative enough, maybe even a HUGE trophy and some CASH. OK, the trophy is small and plastic, but the cash is real.
The 2010 Theme is “Stowelympics”. A permissible alternative theme is “Tiger Woods.” Just cause that is too much fun to ignore. Creativity is rewarded and encouraged.
Snow angels at least once during the day is a tradition. Just listen for the “calling” from the Snow Angel God.
Snow Moons are also a tradition, so beware.
And always remember rule #1: We’re here to have fun.
While competition and prizes are a big part of the day, camaraderie is the biggest element. If you can’t make friends wandering a snowy field sharing a drink or sixteen and laughing over spectacularly bad, and great, shots, then you’re probably from ….
It’s a great day, so relax and enjoy it, and just have fun being silly and making a fool of yourself like everyone else.
And don’t plan on doing too much afterwards….
We will be registering at the Rimrocks, in the Baggy Knees Shopping Center in Stowe at 10:30 am.
